New Rule 616 of the North Carolina Rules of Evidence will take effect December 1, 2009. The rule is entitled "Alternative testimony of witnesses with developmental disabilities or mental retardation in civil cases and special proceedings." We have updated NC Rules of Evidence to include this new rule. Look for NC Rules of Evidence 2009.1 on iTunes.
